Tonight’s Takeaways: Hat Tricks Buzz in 10-5 Triumph Over New Hampshire

Dec 8, 2024

Hooksett, NH | Patrick Frenette

The Hat Tricks have completed the sweep over New Hampshire, for the first-ever road sweep of the season. Two big performances included defenseman Chance Uzzell who picked up a hat trick and forward Alexis Billequey who had a six-point night. Both efforts would not go unnoticed in the 10-5 win, which is the most goals scored in a game by Danbury so far this season.

Goal Frenzy

Danbury has built a strong power play unit, along with a strong core that scored 10 times in 60 minutes. On the defense, Chance Uzzell grabbed his first hat trick as a Hat Trick and Ryan Lukko scored his fourth goal of the season, the third time he scored in New Hampshire. On the offense, Andrew Gibbons put up two goals, and Niko Tournas, Ben Dempster, Alexis Billequey, and Luke Golisano each put up a goal respectively.

Power Play Improvement

Danbury would see their best two game stretch of power play conversion, going 6/9 (66.67%) on the weekend sweep. Gibbons might need to make dangerous his new middle name, as he has shown that he cannot be left open, otherwise he will find the back of the net. It also has shown how every single player on the power play has great potential for this season.

New Danbury Record

Scoring 10 goals is not only the highest amount they’ve scored this season, it’s also the first time the feat has occurred in the Hat Tricks’ five season history. The closest they have come to this score was eight goals, which has happened a handful of times during the five seasons they have been around for.
