Danbury took care of business in Maryland this weekend, pulling off two huge overtime victories to sweep the Black Bears. Brendan Boring would register the game-winning goal in overtime, Kai Elkie, Sal Cerrato, Joey Mallozzi, and Luke Golisano would score the other four goals. Crowshaw put up a .904 save percentage in his second start of the weekend. Tonight’s win now puts the Hat Tricks six points out of a playoff spot.
Boring on OT Hot Streak
Brendan Boring has been the savior for the Hat Tricks, scoring the overtime winner two nights in a row. This is also the first time Boring has scored in two consecutive games this season. Overall, Brendan comes out of the series with two goals and one assist for three points.
Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting
This east division rivalry got heated tonight, as we would see two tilts in the contest. The first tilt happening between both team captains, as Danbury’s Ameen Ghosheh and Maryland’s Tyler Stern would drop the gloves in the first. The second tilt came late in the second, as Danbury d-man Gavin O’Hara and Maryland forward Logan Deuling would throw down to add to an exciting second frame.
