DANBURY, CT– The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks have signed local product Nick Cullinan to a tender agreement for the 2021-22 campaign.

Cullinan, an ’01-born Ridgefield, CT native, currently plays for the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks NA3HL team. He has been a driving force on offense, scoring 15 goals with seven assists in just 12 games. He played in one game with the NAHL Jr. Hat Tricks on February 3rd against the New Jersey Titans.

Prior to joining the NA3HL Jr. Hat Tricks, Cullinan played for Taft School in Watertown, CT with fellow NA3 teammate Nikita Kovalev. Cullinan rose through the local ranks, playing youth hockey with Ridgefield Amateur Hockey Association (RAHA) and graduating from Ridgefield High School.

Cullinan posted 85 goals and 72 assists over four seasons at Ridgefield High. He is the first RAHA product to join the NAHL Jr. Hat Tricks in franchise history, and the first NA3 Jr. Hat Trick to sign a tender with the NAHL club.

“Nick has obviously played great hockey,” explained NA3HL Jr. Hat Tricks head coach Kevin Cunningham, “but he’s also been a consummate teammate. We’re thrilled for his success on the ice, and to be able to springboard that confidence to play at the NAHL level. He’s taking advantage of that ladder of development.”

Danbury’s NA3HL Jr. Hat Tricks currently sit at second place in the East Division with a 16-9-0 record. They are currently riding a six-game winning streak.

The NAHL Jr. Hat Tricks venture up to Maine this weekend to play the Nordiques as they chase a spot in the Robertson Cup Playoffs.
