May 10, 2021

The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks will travel to the New England Sports Village in Attleboro, Massachusetts to face off against the Northeast Generals for a pair of games. Let’s take a look at our keys to the series.

Record

Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks – 49 games, 18-25-6 (42 points, 6th in East Division)

Northeast Generals – 56 games, 20-30-6 (46 points, 5th in East Division)

Tale of the Tape

The Jr. Hat Tricks and Generals have played each other as closely this season as two teams could, splitting ten games evenly with five games decided by two goals or fewer.

Danbury comes into this series following an overtime loss to the third-place Maine Nordiques on Saturday. Though Danbury has lost five games in a row, three of those losses have come in either overtime or a shootout. They sit four points behind the Northeast Generals, with a chance to vault into fifth place in the East Division.

The Generals come into this series following the split of a two game series against the New Jersey Titans. They have won three of their last five, and each of their last eight contests have been decided by two goals or fewer- including an incredible stretch of four straight games decided in extra time. Both teams have been playing tight hockey.

Players to Watch

Mark D’Agostino, F (DHT)- D’Agostino is Danbury’s leading goal scorer against the Northeast Generals this season with four. Passarelli is one of the most accomplished players in the league, and one of the most important leaders for the Jr. Hat Tricks. He ranks tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 26 points.

Ricky Boysen, F (NTE)- Boysen has four goals against Danbury this season, the most of any General against the Jr. Hat Tricks. The Pittsburgh native saw a four-game point streak end on Saturday, a stretch that included four goals and two assists.
