Hat Tricks Shutout By Rochester in Second-to-Last Meeting of the Season

Mar 1, 2024

By Patrick Frenette

Despite Thomas Kieswetter saving 28 out of 34 shots on goal, the Hat Tricks could not deliver on offense.

In the first frame, Danbury had three power play opportunities that ended up being killed off by the Jr. Americans. However, Kiesewetter only allowed three goals on 16 shots to keep it 3-0 after twenty. The second frame saw Danbury lock in more offensively, putting up 11 shots to Rochester’s 8. Kiesewetter would make 10 saves, leaving the frame 4-0. In the final frame, Danbury had some great offensive rushes, but Rochester would notch two more goals to make it a 6-0 final.

The Hat Tricks are back in action tomorrow afternoon at the Danbury Ice Arena & NAHLTV. Puck drop is set for 3:30 p.m.
