HAT TRICKS RETURN TO ROAD AGAINST TITANS

Nov 5, 2021

The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks are back on the road this week, for the first time since a trip to Maine at the beginning of October. They will head to Middletown to battle the New Jersey Titans in a weekend series.

The Hat Tricks have had a tough time putting the puck in the net as of late, potting eight goals over their last five contests.

“We aren’t getting to the dirty areas enough,” said Hat Tricks head coach Billy McCreary. “We need a better net-front presence.”

The Hat Tricks have struggled to find an offensive identity so far this season, relying heavily on a small group of players.

Gabe Dombrowski is currently leading the Hat Tricks in points, with twelve points in fourteen games.

“We need to have a shot first mentality,” continued McCreary. “We certainly need to be more confident in our approach and trust ourselves.”

Danbury is coming off a tough weekend against Maryland where they went 0-1-1, bringing their record to 3-9-3 on the season.

The Titans come into the weekend holding the second spot in the NAHL Eastern Division, off of a weekend sweep of Johnstown on the road this past weekend. New Jersey came to Danbury on the 20th of October and bested the Hat Tricks 5-1.

Friday evening’s game will start at 7:30 pm and can be followed on Hat Tricks’ social media accounts. If you want to follow along live you can catch all of the action on HockeyTV.
