Danbury makes an insane third period comeback, along with nine clutch saves from Lukas Fursten, to help take down the Nordiques 4-3.

In the first frame, the Hat Tricks received the first power play of the game 3:19 in, following a cross-checking penalty against Maine defenseman, John Paul Steele. The Nordiques opened the scoring following a power play goal from defenseman, Nick Bernardo, 7:02 into the first.

In the second frame, things would get chippy on the ice as Hat Tricks defenseman, Aiden Farro, and Nordiques forward, Nils Forcelius, would get into a scrum that resulted in 10 minute misconducts and 2 minute roughing calls for both skaters. The Nordiques would extend their lead to 3-0, following goal from Nordiques forwards, Jake Bernadet and Charles Tardif.

In the final frame, the Hat Tricks started off strong with a goal from forward, Wyatt Stefan, 1:54 into the third. 1:46 later, Danbury notched another goal, this time from defenseman, Noah Ziskie. The Hat Tricks would keep the goal scoring up, as they then tied the game 11:10 into the third, with Wyatt Stefan’s second goal of the game. Danbury’s newly tendered defenseman, Andrew Horn, netted the game winning goal, 18 seconds later. This is Horn’s first NAHL goal, along with newly signed forward, Wonjun Yun, grabbing his first point in the NAHL, with an assist on the game winner. Lukas Fursten made 27 saves on 30 shots to help the Hat Tricks boom in the third.

The Hat Tricks are back in action tomorrow night against the Nordiques, as they look to get another win to close out the weekend series. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the Danbury Ice Arena & NAHLTV.
