HAT TRICKS GET TROUNCED 8-2

Dec 3, 2021

DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Hat Tricks of the NAHL wrapped up a series with the Johnstown Tomahawks on Friday and ended up suffering their worst loss since September 15th. When it was all said and done, the Hat Tricks fell 8-2.

The first period opened up with a bang – when the Hat Tricks were assessed two penalties simultaneously only 24 seconds into the period. Danbury killed the penalties but gave up a shorthanded goal shortly thereafter. Luka Sukovic (2) would answer with a goal to tie it up.

The Hat Tricks surrendered a goal with only seven seconds left in the first to send the game to the dressing room at a 2-1 deficit. Danbury would then surrender six straight to Johnstown.

Three goals in the second scored by Jacob Badal, Frank Jenkins, and Stephen Kyrkostas gave the Tomahawks a 5-1 lead into the third. Three goals from David Matousek, Sean Ramsay, and Frank Jenkins extended that lead to 8-1.

Boris Skalos (4) would get one back for Danbury to make it an 8-2 score, which is how the game would end.

The Hat Tricks are back in action next Friday and Saturday against the Maryland Black Bears before taking a two-week hiatus for the NAHL’s Christmas break.
