This weekend, the Hat Tricks headed up to Lewiston, Maine, to face the Maine Nordiques for the first time on the road this season. It is the third out of eight meetings between the division rivals this year.

The start of the game was fairly quiet for both teams. However, shortly after the ten minute mark, the Nordiques opened the scoring with an even strength goal by Zion Green. This would be the only goal of the opening frame. Energy started to rise in the second, with the Nordiques making it a two goal game with a little over eight minutes left in the second period. The Hat Tricks were given three power play opportunities in the second. Jack Wuertz would proceed to capitalize on their second power play of the second frame.

In the final twenty minutes, Danbury would go on the power play with fifteen minutes and forty-three seconds remaining. Team captain, Logan Nickerson, would notch his seventh goal of the season during said power play. Both teams were given several more opportunities to score, but got caught in a standoff to lead into overtime. Overtime would see Emerson Molas commit a hold against the Nordiques, which gave Maine the power play that lead to the game winner for the Nordiques.

The Hat Tricks return to action tomorrow night in The Colisee, to close out the weekend series against Maine. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 p.m. and you can stream the action on NAHLTV.
