An early brawl on Trashers Night and a huge goal from forward Josh Erickson, were not enough, as the Black Bears flip the script from Friday to win 7-1.

In the first frame, the Hat Tricks jumped out with a powerful goal from forward, Josh Erickson, to get an early lead. 2:19 later, the moment the fans wanted came true, as Danbury and Maryland got into a huge brawl that sent Hat Tricks forward, Brock Behrend out early and fellow Hat Tricks forward, Michael Minchello to the box. Maryland’s Tyler Stern and Luke Amell also got sent to the box, both receiving fives and tens. Maryland would notch two goals to end the period, at 2-1.

In the second frame, the Black Bears would come out as a driving force, notching two more goals and keeping Danbury off the board. In the final frame, the Black Bears would make it 7-1 following two goals from forward, Luke Ruben and a goal from defenseman, Luke Amell.

The Hat Tricks finish their season on the road next week, starting the trip in Attleboro, Ma. to play against the Northeast Generals at 7 p.m. The game can be streamed on NATV.
