The Hat Tricks have tied their longest win streak at three following a 4-1 victory over the Tomahawks. Gibbons found the back of the net two times, along with Elkie and Anderson who netted a goal apiece. Goaltender Tyler Spokane also stopped 22 out of 23 shots faced, to grab his fourth win with Danbury.
It was a slow start for both teams in the opening frame, as they tried to figure each out for the first time. However, the Hat Tricks got on the board early with a goal from forward Andrew Gibbons just 3:57 into the period. This would be the only goal of the frame, yet each netminder faced nine shots each through the first 20 minutes. A lot of calls went against the Tomahawks in the second frame, giving Danbury four out their five power-play opportunities of the night. Hat Tricks forward Kai Elkie would take advantage of their third power-play of the night, as he tipped in the puck past Tomahawks goalie Zack Ferris, following a huge shot from fellow Hat Tricks forward Alexis Billequey. The final frame would be the busiest 20 minutes for both sides. with three combined goals being scored. 3:35 in, Johnstown forward Nick Jarmain would get past Spokane for the only Tomahawks goal of the night. Eight seconds later, Hat Tricks rookie forward Joey Anderson would grab his second goal of the year, to give Danbury a 3-1 lead. The Hat Tricks would go on the penalty kill twice that period, whereas Johnstown only went to the box once. Neither team would convert, which lead to the Tomahawks pulling Zack Ferris to get a 6-on-5 opportunity with 3:23 seconds left. Hat Tricks forward Andrew Gibbons would seal the deal for Danbury, breaking up a play in his own zone to then score on the empty net.
